Phuket
is rapidly becoming over-developed. However, just across the Sarasin
Bridge (the bridge to Phuket) is an enchanting rural area that offers
everything that any level of adventurer would want, including very
nice cultural interaction with the local villagers.
Our goal in designing
this mountain biking trip was to find a biking route that was mostly
flat in a hilly area. It's taken a lot of time to put this together,
but what we've got is a multi-day trip that courses through rubber
plantations, secondary growth, dirt roads, secondary roads and through
small friendly villages. There’s a lot of single track riding
on this route too.
Harder routes
are available for the more hardcore mountain bikers. The entire region
is rich with trails and secondary roads, so customized trips are easy
to arrange.
Biking
trips are also available all year, every month. The rainy season provides
more comfortable tempertures and you can get better deals on hotels
and other aspects of your holiday. All in all, there's no bad time
to come biking in Southern Thailand.
The ride starts
just past the Sarasin Bridge (the bridge to Phuket) and goes all the
way to Khao Lak. It would be easy to do either one day or two days
on this route.
This trip includes
all transfers from nearest local airport, bus station or train station
(airfare not included), all equipment, accommodations once on the
trip, all meals, all snacks, all non-alcoholic drinks, national park
fees and insurance.

If
you have the time and wish to do something truly special, check out
our Mountain
Biking Coast to Coast Tour. It crosses the Malay
Peninsula from the Andaman Sea to the Gulf of Thailand. We also offer
a five-day
mountain biking expedition that starts on the
Andaman Sea and goes 3/4 of the way across the Malay Peninsula.
This
biking trip can be tailored to suit your skill level and fitness level.
In other words, if you're hardcore, we're hardcore. If you'd like
a more relaxed pace and a section that is fairly flat, that's fine
with us.
